The queen room here comes with a very comfy bed, a TV set, a living area, and a writing desk, alongside good bedrooms and incredibly pleasant employees at the reception desk.

The location of the hotel was lovely and excellent, in the mountain well. I had fabulous food for breakfast with smiles.

Exceptionally nice and unbeatable setting and restaurants and cafés very close to the hotel. Very close to a monastery and an old monastery, a lot to see. Good-sized and brand-new room and helpful staff at the reception desk. Nice design.

This venue is amazing and tranquil, with lovely rooms and a nice selection of coffee, cheese, and meats, all set in a renovated Monastery in a secluded spot.

Interesting stay in a converted monastry (convent? - we asked and were told it was built in the 17 c for monks not nuns). Quiet locality, ideal for walking, but a long walk into the picturesque old city - a car is necessary.

I had a fantastic time here, spending two nights in a large guest room, enjoying delicious food with many options, and receiving friendly and helpful service around the clock.

The physical setting and the roadway approach are spectacular; incredible scenery. The hotel itself is humble but clean and comfortable. I found this hotel by serendipity using criteria of two hours distance from Madrid and a general direction toward Catalunya via secondary roads (instead of auto pista). What a treat! both the hotel and Cuenca. The breakfast alone is worth the price of the stay. The price borders on the verge of ludicrously low; what a value.
Nobody on staff spoke anything but Castellano. While I expect few English speakers in central Spain, French has a wide following among middle aged Spaniards. Not here. Woe to the English speaker who doesn't have basic knowledge of Spanish.

The Hotel was set in a beautiful location, full of rustic appeal. The food was excellent, and the ahlf board price was definate excellent value for money. The bathroom had a large bath and pleanty of hot water, and modern TV meant that you can change the language of some programmes.
It would have been nice to have information on the origins of the hotel, and although books where available for purchase, only a samll amount of information available on the city. I thought it was a beautiful, full of character property, but I can imagine others seeing it as needing some work doing.

The staff at Hotel Resort Cueva Del Fraile were friendly and attentive. the beds were comfortable. - the hotel's remote location was very close to a monastery and an old monastery, which was a plus. - It was set near a mountain and surrounded by greenery.

It was very quaint and just enough "out of the way" to have an air of quiet and solitude, yet it was only about 4-5 Km from Cuenca, thus making it easy to drive into town for sightseeing and meals. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the reception desk staff was very accommodating in my use of a strongbox. The pool was kept clean and felt very refreshing!
While quaint, there were some parts that were run down, such as the cement steps going up to our floor, the molding around our door, and what used to be a miniature golf course.

Very peaceful and attractive location, nice buildings, good outdoor facilities for children, good restaurant, helpful concierge. The hotel was also accommodating about a transfer to a sister hotel in town.
I think the hotel would benefit from a free or low cost bus/shuttle service to/from town. I did not realise before that the only practical option was a hire car (because taxis are expensive and we had 5 people, so 2 taxis were required).

I loved the beautiful location here, and the staff were super friendly. It only takes a 5-minute drive to get to Huecar. the room even had beds for the kids 🌟.

Whilst the hotel rooms have basic facilities it is certainly a different style of accomodation to the regular hotels. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was unique and only a 4km drive or so to the "Hanging Houses".Rooms can get a little noise from the corridors and reception areas but didn't bother us.Wireless internet very good in the lounge area.
